UNIWAZA TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Welcome to UniWazaÂ
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the UniWaza website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
Definitions
- Student means any user who enrolls in one or more courses.
- Instructor means a user who creates, uploads, or sells educational content.
- Content means videos, lessons, documents, quizzes, assignments, images, audio, code, and other educational materials.
- Account means a registered UniWaza user profile.
- Platform means the UniWaza website, mobile applications, and all associated services
 User Accounts
You agree to:
- Keep your password confidential.
- Notify UniWaza immediately if your account is compromised.
- Not share your account with another person.
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
UniWaza reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
- Use purchased courses for personal learning only.
- Not redistribute course materials.
- Not record or download videos unless the Platform expressly allows it.
- Respect instructors and other learners.
- Complete assessments honestly.
Sharing course access with others is prohibited.
5. Instructor Responsibilities
Instructors must:
- Own or have legal permission to use all uploaded content.
- Ensure their content is accurate and lawful.
- Not upload copyrighted material without authorization.
- Respond professionally to student questions where applicable.
Instructors are solely responsible for the educational content they publish.
6. Selling Courses
Instructors may offer paid or free courses through UniWaza.
By uploading a course, instructors grant UniWaza a worldwide, non-exclusive license to:
- Host
- Store
- Display
- Stream
- Market
- Promote
- Sell
their course through the Platform.
Ownership of course content remains with the instructor.
7. Instructor Revenue
Where applicable:
- UniWaza may retain a platform service fee from each sale.
- Remaining revenue will be paid to instructors according to the instructor agreement.
- Payout schedules, minimum withdrawal amounts, and payment methods may change with notice.
UniWaza reserves the right to delay payouts while investigating suspected fraud or policy violations.
8. Payments
Students may pay using supported payment methods, including:
- MTN Mobile Money
- Airtel Money
- Visa
- Mastercard
- PayPal
- Other approved payment providers
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors.
UniWaza does not store complete card details.
9. Refund Policy
Unless stated otherwise:
Students may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if:
- Less than 20% of the course has been completed; and
- No certificate has been issued.
Refunds will not be granted where:
- Most of the course has been completed.
- A certificate has already been issued.
- Fraudulent activity is detected.
- The request falls outside the stated refund period.
UniWaza reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests based on the circumstances.
10. Certificates
Certificates are issued only after the required course completion criteria have been met.
UniWaza reserves the right to revoke certificates obtained through:
- Cheating
- Account sharing
- Fraud
- System abuse
Certificates indicate successful completion of a course but do not constitute an academic degree or government-recognized qualification unless explicitly stated.
11. Intellectual Property
All Platform software, branding, logos, designs, and non-user-generated content belong to UniWaza.
Course creators retain ownership of their course content while granting UniWaza the license described in these Terms.
Users may not:
- Copy content
- Sell content
- Redistribute content
- Upload copied courses
- Circumvent copyright protections
12. Community Standards
Users must not:
- Harass others
- Upload malware
- Use bots without authorization
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Impersonate another person
- Post unlawful, hateful, or abusive content
- Violate applicable laws
Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent account termination.
13. Reviews and Ratings
Students may leave honest reviews.
UniWaza may remove reviews that:
- Contain abusive language
- Are fraudulent
- Are spam
- Are unrelated to the course
14. Availability
UniWaza strives to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may temporarily affect availability.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in that policy.
16. Third-Party Services
The Platform may integrate with third-party providers, including payment processors and communication tools.
UniWaza is not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services.
17. Suspension and Termination
UniWaza may suspend or terminate any account that:
- Violates these Terms
- Engages in fraud
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Disrupts the Platform
- Endangers other users
Users may delete their accounts subject to any legal or contractual obligations.
18. Disclaimer
Courses are provided for educational purposes only.
UniWaza does not guarantee:
- Employment
- Business success
- Professional certification recognition
- Academic credit
- Specific examination outcomes
Learning results depend on each user’s effort and circumstances.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniWaza shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Platform.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to UniWaza during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold UniWaza, its officers, employees, affiliates, and partners harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.
21. Changes to These Terms
UniWaza may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
22. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the country in which UniWaza is incorporated, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
